Axxess Business Centers, Inc. To Sponsor
African-American Women in Cinema Film Festival
NEW YORK, April 1 - Axxess Business Centers, Inc., the leader in affordable consulting,
business plan writing and financing for startups and small businesses, has pledged to
continue its sponsorship of the African-American Women in Cinema Film Festival,
said Rosalind Resnick, the company's founder and CEO.
The six-year-old festival, which has received proclamations from The City of New York and
grants from Time-Warner Cable, Con Edison, Kodak and other major corporations, brings
together African-American, Latina and Asian women from all over the world to showcase their
work and increase public awareness of their contributions to the film industry. Founded by
Terra Renee, a Philadelphia-born actress and filmmaker whose work has received wide acclaim
at Cannes and other leading film festivals, AAWIC held its sixth annual festival at
New York's Tribeca Film Center on March 7 and 8.
Axxess Business Centers, which began sponsoring the festival in January, will continue to
provide the not-for-profit organization with office space, telephone and Internet access,
and business advisory services through its Lower Manhattan storefront location at
128 Chambers Street.
"As a female entrepreneur myself, I'm proud to be working with Terra to bring women and
minority filmmakers the recognition they deserve," Resnick said. "We look forward to
helping Terra realize her vision of creating an international organization that will
showcase the works of these talented artists."
"Axxess Business Centers played a strong supporting role in helping me put this year's
festival together," Renee said. "I'm glad to have Axxess in my corner as I roll out my
plan to take AAWIC to the next level."
